Quantum Technology designs and manufactures pulse picker and regenerative amplifier systems for mode-locked lasers.
At Quantum Technology, Inc. (QTI), we’re pushing the boundaries of optical pulse technology. Our advanced systems are engineered to handle regenerative amplification, pulse picking, extraction, and selection from visible and near-IR mode-locked laser beams. Whether you’re working with pulsed or CW mode-locked lasers, we’ve got the tools to optimize your setup. Let’s explore our three core systems, built with cutting-edge components and backed by over 30 years of expertise.
All our systems use high-quality Pockels cells/modulators—grown right here in our labs for maximum precision. Choose from ADP (300nm–800nm) or KD*P (800nm–1100nm) crystals, with options for high-contrast performance. Need UV (200nm–400nm)? We’ve got you covered with BBO Pockels cells for the HVP model. For near-IR (800nm–2500nm), our Lithium Tantalate modulator for the 32180D model delivers (see datasheet 741).
Perfect for regenerative amplifier setups, this system uses differential switching high-voltage FETs to drive ultra-fast EO Pockels cells (like our QC, LN, or BBO QS series). With rise/fall times of just 4–7 nanoseconds and adjustable pulse gate widths (7ns–3000ns), it handles output voltages up to 9kV. It supports repetition rates of 1.5kHz, with options up to 50kHz. The modular design includes plug-in units like the DD1 divider delay countdown, which generates two independently delayable trigger pulses for seamless integration.
Designed for speed, this driver uses state-of-the-art RF MOS FETs to power a 50-ohm EO modulator, delivering rise/fall times under 7.5ns. It boasts a high repetition rate of 10MHz and gate widths as short as 10ns, even at mode-lock clock rates of 200MHz. The system accepts signals from mode-locker outputs or photodiodes, dividing them down by 10 to 10,000,000 for precise extraction control.
Built for efficiency, the Model 301 uses high-speed FET circuits to drive a 50-ohm EO modulator with rise/fall times under 5ns. It supports a maximum repetition rate of 200kHz and a trigger rate of 200MHz, making it ideal for demanding applications.
